Dr. Gao is a licensed and certified acupuncturist and founder of Gao Acupuncture in San Ramon, California. She has over a decade of medical practices in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr Gao was born and raised within a loving family in Anhui province, mainland China, and became a resident in Bay Area in Sept 2004. Her medical degree was received from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, with a 5-year major in ACUPUNCTURE, MOXIBUSTION & TUINA. Her experience includes in depth work with a wide range of health conditions by integrating Eastern and Western medical practices to maintain optimum health. Her specialities are women's health, pain relief, stress-related illnesses and insomnia.

Dr Gao's residency started at Guoyitang, then China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Huairou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dongzhimen Hospital, and Huguoshi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. These practices broaded her experiences in TCM and Acupuncture.

In 1992, She started her independent medical practice at Tongzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine as an acupuncturist first, and then as a MD at emergency department, internal medicine department and ICU department. In 1997, She joined China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM), the premier hospital for Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.Prior to coming to the United States, she worked as an internal medicine doctor at the emergency department at the CATCM headquarter Beijing.
